About us

Our vision is to grant South African youth the opportunity to gain experiential learning and enriching internship experiences.

Our solution is to provide South African youth with basic business skills, practical training and confidence in the working environment. A country with an empowered youth will be an empowered country. The Intern Academy was formed to solve the need for young people to learn basic business skills. The internship is offered to students who are currently and/or completing a degree, technical qualification or diploma. We also provide internships for students who have completed Matric.

Our Story Starts in early 2006

Our story started during the first year of business. Brand Innovation has been offering internships since 2006. Providing hands-on training and empowering youth with confidence and skills.

The legacy we wish to leave is one of making a positive difference in the lives of young people. We intend to continue running an excellent business, growing and empowering youth. Our aim is to get our courses internationally accredited.

Brand Innovation is passionate about seeing young people learn and grow in the workplace. Our staff receives great joy when mentoring and guiding our interns.  Every year since, we have been working in close collaboration with CPUT, offering third year marketing students a three month internship with us, to learn experience and grow confidence in their capabilities.

The Intern Academy is a social enterprise that looks to do things differently and with the right intention. The work environment that we create is positive and passionate, we believe that we are the best at what we do.

Our Dream

Our dream is to start a chain reaction among small and medium businesses in South Africa.

To offer unemployed youth job training, experimental learning opportunities and internships which leads to job employment.

We aim to set the standard in South Africa for small and medium businesses to implement their own internship programmes.

If every small or medium business in South Africa employed one intern, this would go a far way to alleviate the very serious problem of youth unemployment in South Africa.
